The campsite at Camusdarach offers superb panoramic views of the islands and is sheltered by many large mature trees. To make tent pitching easy we have introduced Tent Bays with grass mats, 12 in all, each with a minimum of 72m sq. of space. The maximum tent size permitted is 6 man and all Hard Standing and Tent pitches have a maximum of 6 people.

The Tent pitching field has been divided into 3 areas, named after the Islands: Skye, Canna, and Eigg – to view the site map please email us for the latest copy as changes to the site layout have been made.

We have 18 Hard Standing pitches for campervans and caravans which have Electric Hookups as standard and which also include 4m of grass for awnings. In addition there are 4 large Electric Hookup grass pitches for tents. It is always advisable to book a pitch, particularly during peak periods.

We have free WIFI covering the site.  If you’re not using an electric hook up we can charge phones, cameras etc. for you during Reception hours (9am – 7pm) – you might be surprised at how many photos you find yourself taking when you’re here.  As we get plenty of warm weather and sunshine (really we do ) you can chill freezer blocks in the Laundry area of the facilities block.

The site has an immaculate, modern toilet and shower block, which includes a laundry with washing and drying machines, washing-up areas and facilities for the disabled and babies.

The whole estate is geared towards using the land sympathetically and sustainably so Grey water from the shower-block is treated by a series of reed-beds which detoxify the outflow water preventing any contamination of the surrounding land. This provides an eco-friendly solution to waste disposal. A separate disposal point is available for chemical toilet waste.
